Gemini adds Solana deposits support, could XRP, DOT, or ADA be next?

On the last day of February, Gemini added support for users to deposit Solana into their custodial exchange wallet. Gemini stated that they're working to support more new coins as part of their mission to unlock quote, 'next era of financial, creative and financial freedom'

Gemini will add support for trading Solana (SOL) next. First, trading will be enabled via Gemini's API/FIX and ActiveTrader applications using USD trading pairs. This exchange listing arrive just when on-chain metrics indicate that Solana accounts also exploded by 300% since its most recent upgrade.

"Solana’s unique daily active signers (a good proxy for users) have increased by ~300% since the last update in late September. Unique signers peaked at 299k in late January, but tapered off a bit to 232k after the network’s most recent bout with degraded performance." ~ ournetwork solana report

This set of odds bodes well for Solana and its SOL token

Gemini is known for taking a conservative approach in the way they support crypto coins. Gemini doesn't support XRP, Binance's BNB, Polkadot (DOT, and Cardano's ADA. These coins are in the top 10 market evaluations and most of them now have thriving ecosystems. It's the only major crypto exchange that doesn't support these assets.

It will be interesting to see which of these amazing crypto coins will be picked up by Gemini next.

Excitement by Solana community as Gemini lists SOL
